Detailed Itinerary – Ranthambore Safari with Golden Triangle Tour

Day 1: Arrival

Day 1: Arrival in New Delhi

On arrival at the New Delhi airport, you will be received by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel and assist you with the check in. Once all documents for you upcoming Ranthambore safari with Golden Triangle Tour are handed over, overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 2: In New Delhi

Start your journey in this Ranthambore safari with Golden Triangle Tour with your first destination — New Delhi. Post breakfast, proceed for your full day city tour of Old Delhi and New Delhi.

In the old city, visit Red Fort built by Emperor Shah Jahan; Jama Masjid, which is one of the largest mosques in India; Rai Ghat- the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and enjoy a walking tour through the bustling streets of Chandni Chowk.

In the afternoon visit Qutab Minar, the tallest stone tower in India; India Gate — A War Memorial Arch. Also drive past the President’s house, Parliament house, Government secretariat buildings and Connaught place — a busy shopping center at the heart of New Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel in New Delhi.

Day 3: New Delhi – Jaipur (By road, 260 kms/5 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur (260 kms, 5 hrs drive). On arrival, check into the hotel. The evening is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Jaipur.

Day 4: In Jaipur

On this day, you will drive 1 1 km to the periphery of the city to visit Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Temple of Kali, the Hall of Victory or Jai Mahal.

During the afternoon, visit the Observatory, the Palace of Winds and the City Palace and Museum. The museum has an interesting textile collection which contains the attire of the former Maharajas and Maharanis of Jaipur. Jaipur is well known for its intricate carpets, ornaments, precious and semi-precious stones, brass ornaments and many other arts and crafts. Spend time in crowded lanes 8 by lanes of pink city, as you engage in souvenir-hunting during the evening. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5: Jaipur – Ranthambhore (By surface, 180 kms/3 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to Ranthambhore (180 kms/3 hrs drive). On arrival, check into the resort. Post lunch, leave for an evening jeep safari. Dinner and overnight at the Resort.

Day 6 – 7: In Ranthambhore

Morning 8 evening jeep safaris in the park. Meals at the resort. Overnight at the hotel in Ranthambhore. 

Ranthambhore is extremely rich in avian life with close to 300 species of birds. For a keen bird watcher, Ranthambhore and the surrounding area is

absolute paradise. Some interesting resident species of birds are the Greater Cormorant, Painted Spurfowl, Sarus Crane, Bronzed Winged Jacana, Sandpipers, Kingfishers, Nightjars, Painted Sandgrouse, Indian Eagle Owl, apart from the many winter migrants which come from their nesting ground from Northern and Central Asia.

Ranthambhore encompasses an area of 400 sq. km and is dotted with rocky hill crests which open into valleys between the Aravalli and Vindhya ranges.

Anundant in Water pools and fruiting trees, this park gets its name from the thousand year old fortress, which looms above the forest. Well known for the diurnal activity of Tigers, Ranthambhore is a special and enchanting park where the natural present meets the historical past.

Sambar, Cheetal, Chinkara, Nilgai and Langur are predominant here. There’s a good chance here of seeing the elusive Leopard and regal Tiger, as they have adapted over the years to be comfortable in the presence of safari vehicles. Dotted across the landscape are the crumbling ruins of the past, be it chatris or cupolas, or old guard posts, Ranthambore possesses a magical and ethereal quality like no other.

Day 8: Ranthambhore – Agra (By road, 265 kms/5 hrs drive)

Embark on a Morning jeep safari to the national park and after breakfast, drive to Agra (265 kms / 5 hour drive). En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the

ancient abandoned Mughal capital. This 1 6th century capital of Mughal emperor Akbar is a complex of forts, palaces and mosques built in sandstone. The city had to be deserted because of a drought. The white marble Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chisti, Akbar’s spiritual adviser, is now regarded as a pilgrimage spot. Overnight at the hotel in Agra.

Day 9: In Agra

After breakfast, proceed to visit the famous white marble mausoleum, The Tai Mahal. Built in the middle of the 1 7th century by the Mughul emperor Shah Jehan for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Tai Mahal is considered as a symbol of love.

Completed in 1652 by close to 20,000 skilled craftsmen from the reaches of Persia, Turkey, France and Italy. Later proceed to visit the red sandstone known as AGRA FORT on the banks of Yamuna River. Three successive Mughal emperors — Akbar, Jehangir and Shah Jehan — helped create this massive structure which contains Indo-Islamic architecture. [The Tai is closed on Friday]. Overnight stay at the hotel in Agra.

Day 10: Agra – New Delhi (By road, 220 kms/4 hrs drive)

After breakfast, drive to New Delhi (220kms/4 hours drive). Overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 11: New Delhi Fly back home

After breakfast, depart for the international airport to board a flight back home or to any onward destinations.
